Our Associations
GSSDANCE is an internationally accredited institution dedicated to the education, advancement, and celebration of dance in South Africa. We provide dancers of all ages and levels with a nurturing environment where technical excellence, creativity, and soulful expression come together.
These affiliations ensure that our students receive training that meets the highest international standards while staying rooted in South Africa:

The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organizations, with its global headquarters in London. They have an incredible global network of passionate and skilled employees, teachers and members, each shaping and influencing the future of dance.
The RAD strives to improve the standards of dance teaching, ensuring our dancers are technically trained to perfection. Each year we enroll our students to take part in the RAD’s renowned classical ballet examination syllabus which is taught to thousands of young people worldwide. When attaining a certain level of their vocational training, dancers may choose to pursue a career in dance teaching through the Royal Academy of Dance.
Mignon Furman started The American Academy of Dance Performance Awards Program, which is taught all around the world. This classical ballet program helps our dancers improve both their technique and performance skills, and perfectly complements the RAD syllabus.
The program consists of 12 levels that students from the age of 6 years can participate in. Senior dancers who excel at each level may also be awarded a scholarship to the annual AAB Summer School in New York. This is a great experience where dancers return home more confident and inspired – dancing with renewed energy, purpose, and enhanced artistry.

The Association of International Dance Teachers (AIDT) is an examining body whose aim is to promote the teaching and standard of Modern/Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop dancing. Our students can participate in exams, medal tests, and even apply for bursaries in any of these three dance styles.
A comprehensive syllabus in all genres enables students from the age of 6 years to learn the correct technique, develop discipline, and musicality while enjoying their dancing experience. Careful attention is given to anatomy, as used in dance, to avoid injury through incorrect use of the body.
When attaining a certain level of their training, dancers may choose to pursue a career in dance teaching in any of the three dance styles through the AIDT.
Students wishing to train as associate teachers may apply for a provisional membership of the Association, which then entitles them to study the syllabus with an experienced teacher. GSSDANCE have qualified dance teachers who mentor our dancers when completing their Certificate/Diploma in Dance Teaching. We have a passion for uplifting and encouraging students to pursue a career in Dance and facilitate the advancement of dance in South Africa.

The Theatre Dance Association (TDA) focuses on creating opportunities for dancers all around South Africa. They offer an exciting and stimulating syllabus in several dance styles – which we at GSSDANCE mainly focus on the Acrobatics and Latin syllabus. We ensure that our dancers are well trained in both flexibility and strength which will assist them in all other styles of dance.
The TDA also offers various dance competitions that our dancers can participate in and get the chance to perform Nationally and Internationally. Students can enter solos, duets, trios or groups in various styles including ballet, lyrical, modern, contemporary, jazz, character, hip hop, musical theatre, tap, acrobatics and cultural dancing.
